Nothing worse than buying a phone app and finding out you have to have a computer to do anything with it. Would be awesome if you guys could create a cut and paste part so I could copy the lyrics in using my iPhones safari. I will raise the rating when I finally am able to get lyrics on the app from a computer....

If you are looking to shed those lead sheets and fake books this app is perfect for organizing your lead sheets and lyric sheets. We use band in the box to search for songs we perform and then convert to PDF and bring it into My Lyric Book via iTunes. You are up and running and can gig right away with this app on your music stand instead of those bulky hard to search fake books. This lets you make up set lists and add notes to each song to really customize your sight reading and performance. Nothing but high fives for My Lyric Book. It does exactly what we need it to.

I have been searching for ways since the iPad came out to use it for preaching. Before I just used "Pages" and didnt like that I had to scroll up and swiping wasnt available. Not only do I not have to scroll anymore, If used with the "Airturn" Bluetooth foot pedal, I can wirelessly control my presentation. I love this app. If the developers actually read this, the only reason I dont give it 5stars is when I have a weekend message open and Im on the first page, if I swipe left to right on accident, or if I hit the left pedal, it sends you back to the table of contents. It would be nice to somehow have an option to lock a document to prevent going "too far back" I know being careful is an option, but I have done this way too many times to count, and I cant possibly be the only person to do this. So, Im writing it here. Is there any way you can add a PDF converter to the importing? The only things that look even similar to the actual documents I put on this thing are PDFs. All pages, .doc, and .docx files lose just about all formatting. Like your website says... "We want you to use Your versions of these lyrics". But if all the formatting is changed to simple text formatting, what good is all the preparation. Please contact me, if you can. J

This app requires a learning curve and is difficult to get started. Convert your lyrics to the correct format, load onto iPad and sort into setlist. Once you have the lyrics on the iPad, sorting into set lists and organizing order is fairly simple. I use this for every live performance. App needs clearly directions no doubt. I went to the app store and purchased My Lyric Book, and now all is well: iPhone 5, iMac, and iPad 3 are all together. In fact, it is soooooo easy to add my gig books!! I have three gigs in the next two weeks, and I found your app at just the right time - I found music reader too cumbersome. So, thank you for developing My Lyric Book!!

I just updated to the new version and my iPad 2 wont even open the app any more. The app starts to open, crashes immediately and shuts itself down. Personally, Id rather see features added like being able to add a lyric PDF from DropBox instead of having to use iTunes (rather than MIDI support) especially if adding MIDI support causes the app to crash and not show lyrics any more (which is why I bought it in the first place).

Come on guys...

Can you please reverse the update somehow you guys are really screwing us up out here in band land

Yes, I updated. "Then" there was a message telling everyone not to? Really? Emailed developer, no response. On the phone with Apple for 1.5 hours trying every freakn thing....no luck. So now my gigs tonight and must go back to the old fashioned music stand..always has been reliable for me. Radical80s

Please Reverse This Update, We Make Living Out Of Music And We Rely On This App Tonight I Was Lucky Because I Used The Homeowners Wi-Fi Tomorrow Hopefully Its Fixed Or Else Im Losing Out On Extra Income..

I waited years for a "teleprompter" type device where I could store lyrics for gigs and this app fills the bill perfectly. Its really easy to use and as a bonus the guy who writes it is very responsive and seems to really care about the app working well. Which it does. Ill never go back to big clunky notebooks of lyrics.

Please make the font adjustable for lyrics, it is to small and no option to adjust. Ps: Also add option to center lyrics or align left and night or day background colors will be nice.

I am an acoustic guitarist / singer with over 1,000 songs in my Windows laptop. After my laptop crashed, I knew it was time to transition to iPad. This app makes it super easy to transfer documents. I didnt even have to reformat anything. Using the setlist feature, I can divide songs into categories (rock, country etc…) At the time of this version, I have 2 things on my wish list; I would like to be able to delete songs off of the master list and would like to be able to rename songs. All in all a very useful app. Thanks!

After I upgraded my system, I was able to work with the app. it is awesome. Im happy now.
